Caroline's Country fair was an 8th birthday celebration. The birthday girl wanted her friends to play games, get tickets and win prizes. Caroline invited her whole class and siblings to come and join her for the fun. Just as the brightly colored invitation had announced, this was going to be a day of “Food, fun, games, and prizes.”
The birthday girl’s outfit was fashioned by Lindsey at Little4 Awhile using country farics in keeping with the theme.
A picture gallery of Caroline “Through the Years” provided a backdrop for her celebration.
Party tablescapes were set up for the children to get treats throughout the event.
Red and blue gingham table cloths, burlap covered potted plants adorned with gingham bows, as well as country fair themed flags, banners, and colored balloons flying in the wind beckoned the guests.
The children could not help but feel a sense of excitement as they entered the yard to see what surprises awaited them. At the check-in table, the Caroline’s friends were given beige cotton drawstring bags trimmed in red gingham with their name written on the tag, in which to collect the prize tickets they would win playing the various carnival games. A bigger brown bag lived at the prize booth for the duration of the party for kids to exchange tickets for prizes and load their bags.
And no fair would be complete without lots of prizes! And, of course, the prize booth workers knew to load up the bags with one of everything as they exchanged tickets for prizes. So, every child received cotton candy, lollipops, bubbles, and a stuffed toy!

Most of the food was passed around by Caroline's family, which made everyone enjoy it!

Their personalized gift/favor bags that stored their winnings were kept safely behind the prize booth and were ready for them to carry home at the end of the day. A departing guest provided the ultimate compliment, “Caroline had a really great fair!” The birthday girl agreed!
